Benji
Beagle
Age: 10 years
Sex: Male
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: not tested
Good with children: 12+
Time able to be left: Short periods
🐾PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP🐾
Benji the handsome beagle came to us from a very bad situation of terrible neglect. It has taken quite some time to get this boy right. Benji came in with horrendous skin issues and his skin was red raw from being in his own excrement.
As you can see Benji is now back on track with his ear infections and skin issues all managed well with apoquel which he will need to continue to take. 🐾The rescue are happy to continue to pay for his apoquel medication and anything relating to apoquel (vet checks regarding apoquel, repeat prescription fee). 🐾
Benji is a typical beagle, loves his walks and is nose down. He gets so excited when he sees his lead out and has started to do a happy dance. Everything is new to Benji so his new owners will need to spend time training him. Lead walking is one as he is a very strong boy. He is quite easy to train as he just wants to please his people and just loves treats. Benji is housetrained which he picked up quickly.
Benji likes other dogs and is always pleased to see them. Benji has only ever been an only dog so his new home can either be just him or a calm female dog.
Benji travels well in the car, has no other health issues except his skin, is neutered, vaccinated, and up to date with flea & worm treatment and microchipped.

Name: Max
Sex: Male
Age: 3 years
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Not tested
Good with children: 8+
Time to be left: Short periods
Max’s history is unknown, he was handed in after being found. He’s proving to be a real gentleman and charms everyone he meets with both his handsome good looks and personality. He’s been as good as gold at kennels and comes with a glowing report. He enjoys his walks out and is great traveling in a vehicle. He takes everything in his stride including his trips to the vets for his vet checks and neutering.
He’s been a real star when out walking with the volunteers. He walks well on a harness. He will need to have a home with a secure garden with fencing/wall height a minimum of 5ft and someone willing to take him for off lead runs in secure areas. As lurchers go, he’s more laid back, but he does still enjoy a play with toys and will amuse himself while checking in with you. He does enjoy a quick zoom and will get excitable though soon calms down. Max is a good size and is predominantly greyhound. He currently weighs in at 27kg. He could live with another medium to large size dog subject to introductions. He won’t be homed with cats or small furry creatures who are not secured.
Max is micro chipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated to date.

Name: Chester
Breed: Shitzu X Yorkie X JRT
Age: 9 weeks
Sex: Male
Good with dogs: yes - must go with another small playful dog.
Good with cats: not tested
Good with children: 12+
Time able to be left: would like someone round most of the day.
Little Chester is a very charming, playful puppy. He is very terrier type and can be quite full on. Don’t be deceived by his tiny size you definitely know he’s around with his loveable cheeky character. This little man is a typical puppy that loves to play and charge about and is always on the go and up to mischief.
Chester enjoys a cuddle and fuss but loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and toys, his batteries just keep on going. For this reason Chester must go with another small playful dog to teach him the ways of the world and some manners. Chester loves his food and treats and will be easy to train. His foster home has been working on toilet training and it’s going well but still has the odd accident, he is still just a baby. He also travels well in the car.
Chester has had his 1st vaccination and 2nd due soon. He will be ready after this and will be going out on a foster to adopt contract until he is neutered. He is up to date with flea & worm treatment. He has no known health issues.

Name: Marcus
Breed: Lurcher cross
Age: 1
Sex: Male
Good with dogs: Yes, can be excitable in play
Good with cats: Not been tested
Good with children: 8+
Time to be left: Short periods
Marcus hasn’t had the best start in life being found injured in the middle of a road. His leg wounds needed stitching, but we’re pleased to say he is fully healed with no lasting effects. Owners never came forward to claim him.
Marcus is super friendly and has a tail wag for everyone he meets. He’s loving life and does everything with gusto.
He’s not a quick burst then sleep kinda guy but enjoys to run and run some more. He will need a secure garden and someone willing to take him to secure fields to enjoy off lead zoomies. He loves to play with toys too.
He would be great for someone who is keen to help him use his brain and enjoys training as a hobby. We could see him loving Mantrailing.
We don’t know that Marcus has lived in a home before so he needs a family who will provide guidance to settle into home life and toilet training.
Marcus thoroughly enjoys his walks and is curious with new sights and sniffs. He’s pleased to see other dogs out and about and has met various shapes and sizes with sensible introductions.
He’s travelled fine settling in a crate in the car with no sickness.
If Marcus lives with another dog then an older role model similar to his size would be ideal.
Children need to be 8+ and confident around dogs.
Any small furry or feathered friends would need to be safely enclosed.
Marcus is micro chipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated to date.

So we would like him to be an only dog with his new owner to be home most of the time. We feel a quieter home would be perfect for him.
Monty came in to us with his coat in an awful state so it will take a few more grooms for his coat to come fully back and get rid of the staining. His coat is definitely better than it was.

Angel has had very little training so we are looking for a home that can spend some time teaching her manners. Angel is coming along with toilet training and this will obviously need more work.
This girl just loves fuss, attention and cuddles. As Angel is such a busy girl we are looking for a home that can suit her. She loves a walk and walks well on the lead. Angel can be rehomed as an only dog or with another resident dog.
Angel is neutered, up to date with vaccinations and flea and wormer and has no known health issues.

Here we have the beautiful Lily that is looking for a home full of attention. Lily loves people and will need someone home most of the time to keep up with her need for fuss and attention and a good lap to cuddle on.
This sweet girl loves her walks but would need to be on lead as she’s a bit of a scavenger and will eat anything. Lily loves her food and treats. Although Lily is older she still loves to do zoomies and have funny 5 mins of charging around playfully.
Lily would like to be homed as an only dog to take advantage of all the attention.

Name: Peter
Breed: Labrador x springer x ? Possibly some lurcher
Age: 12 weeks as at 13/6/24
Sex: Male
Good with dogs: Yes but full on
Good with cats: Not been in contact
Good with children: Not been in contact
Time to be left: Short periods
Peter is the most gorgeous bundle of puppy mischief. He is a clever, busy, endearing fella. Who ever takes him on needs to be prepared for all the hard work that homing a puppy entails. Do expect some sleepless nights and Peter will need someone willing to put in the time and effort with toilet training, though he’s nearly cracked it already being such a clever lad. He would be great for someone who is keen to help him use his brain and enjoys training as a hobby.
He is learning to walk while wearing a harness and lead. At the minute, you don’t get anywhere in a hurry, but you have a lot of laughs doing so!
He’s travelled fine in the car with no sickness to date.
If Peter lives with another dog then a younger, larger dog who will tolerate puppy play would be the most suitable candidate.
Children need to be 8+
We would highly recommend attendance of puppy socialisation classes.
Peter is micro chipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated to date.
He will go to his new home on a foster contract as he will require neutering at our vets at the appropriate time. Once carried out an adoption form will be completed.
