Meet Jess – a gentle soul learning to be brave

Jess is an 11-month-old spaniel cross (mostly cocker) with the sweetest nature and so much love to give. She’s had a sheltered start in life and is still learning about the world, so she can be a little worried at times – but beneath that is a playful, affectionate young dog just waiting to blossom. Jess hasn’t had much socialisation, so she can feel unsure when meeting other dogs. However, with calm and careful introductions, she quickly realises there’s nothing to worry about and becomes their best friend. She is worried, not aggressive, and just needs patient guidance to help her build confidence. She could live as an only dog with dedicated owners who can continue her training, or alongside a calm, confident dog who can gently show her the ropes and help her feel secure. With people, Jess may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’s incredibly loving and enjoys playtime and affection. She’s eager to please and will really thrive with kind, consistent training and reassurance. Jess travels well in the car and is ready to start her journey towards becoming a confident, happy companion. If you have a little patience and a lot of love, Jess will reward you tenfold. Could you be her safe place? Jess is neutered, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worm treatments.

All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flead and microchipped.

Please fill in an Adoption Application if you feel you are able to offer this dog their perfect home!

If you are in rented accommodation you must have a letter stating permission to have a dog at the property. This must be ready before applying for a dog you would like.

Please DO NOT apply by phone.  When you put in an application form you will get an automated email to let you know we have received it (check your junk folder too).  We will contact you if your application is being considered.  Our volunteers do not have time to answer every email and phone call.
