Bertie is an absolutely adorable 7-year-old ruby Cavalier who really is the sweetest little character. He loves nothing more than a cuddle and is a gentle, easy-going boy who is a pleasure to have around the home. Bertie is fully housetrained, travels well in the car and is a very easy little chap who would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, affectionate dog. When Bertie arrived in rescue, he was carrying too much weight and was suffering from skin problems, an ear infection and dry eyes. He has already started his weight-loss journey, and his ear infection has been successfully treated. Bertie is using Protopic and lubricant for his eyes, and we are also managing his skin with Zenrelia tablets. He tested positive for flea allergies, and now that he is enjoying a flea-free environment, his skin is clearing up beautifully. We are gradually reducing his Zenrelia dosage to see how his skin responds. Bertie has been through a lot, but he is such a lovely, affectionate boy who deserves a wonderful home where he can enjoy all the cuddles and care he could wish for. Bertie is microchipped, neutered and up to date with his flea and worm treatments as appropriate. He comes with full rescue back-up, so his new family will never be alone on his journey.
